The best way to clean the brush is to use your hand to remove dust that has collected in the brush or to use an old hairbrush to comb it out. If the brush has lost its shape, soak it in a little lukewarm water, squeeze out and bend the bristles correctly and then let it dry hanging in its holder. The shovel is cleaned with a damp cloth.
