Sustainability in focus
In a region shaped by ironworking and the utilization of natural resources, the company Ovolin was born. Its product, ready-made egg oil tempera in a jar, became a tough and environmentally friendly challenger to the dominant plastic paint. Leif Eriksson, who has run the company since the early 1990s and from 2007 together with Carin Moberg, have both stepped back and handed over the business to Maths Anhammer.
Joy, inspiration & cultural history
We are, however, happy to have both Leif and Carin remaining in the company as employees. Our ambition is to continue providing a healthy, environmentally friendly paint that can convey joy, inspiration, and a piece of cultural history. We mix this on site with genuine pigments in the traditional way. Besides the egg oil tempera, we want to be a complete building preservation store with traditional sustainable materials such as linseed oil paint, paint pigments, hardware, tars, oils, linseed oil soap, and a variety of personal interior items. We are also building up a larger section with reused building preservation materials.
