The Tile Store along the Svartån River
It is a privilege to be surrounded by such beautiful nature and culture! Since 2009, our business has been operating in the brick warehouse along the Svartån river on the outskirts of Örebro. Our area, Karlslund, is known for its fantastic walking areas, shops, and artists. It is perfect for a day trip for passersby or Örebro residents who want to enjoy nature and culture.
The store
In our store, you will find a wide range of products to preserve and care for your home. Get expert advice on building preservation and guidance for your painting project from our knowledgeable staff. With the ongoing expansion, we now also have an extended selection of home and interior products, gifts, and more.
Paint Factory & Production
Next to the store is the factory where we, among other things, manufacture our own egg oil tempera paint from scratch and mix linseed oil paint according to both the NCS and the Swedish National Heritage Board's systems. Back here, it's full speed all day long to produce and prepare orders from both the store and the e-commerce.
The exhibition
Next to the barn, we have an exciting exhibition showcasing traditional building methods from Närke. Here, you can gain insight into traditional techniques, materials, and color schemes. The exhibition is a perfect place for inspiration and learning, where you can see and touch authentic examples of building preservation and cultural heritage. We regularly update the exhibition to highlight different aspects of our rich craftsmanship heritage.
Summer café, Christmas market, and more
Throughout the year, we organize and participate in a variety of events and activities. Keep an eye on our social channels for information about our own ice cream café, which we have run for three summers in a row now, the Christmas market where both we and Karlslund have plenty to offer, and evening courses for customers and enthusiasts who are also passionate about our craft.
