Silicate paint is a waterborne facade paint with potash water glass as a binder. The paint hardens with the carbonic acid of the air to silicon oxide. The color becomes hard and tender and very open to diffusion. The paint is suitable on mineral substrates such as plaster, concrete, natural stone and frost-resistant brick. It can be painted on untreated surfaces as well as on surfaces previously painted with lime-cement and silicate paint. Surfaces previously painted with oil paint, latex or other organic paint types cannot be overpainted with silicate paint. Läs mindre
