Shellac

Our shellac is a versatile and traditional resin that effectively prevents staining from resin, which is important when painting wooden surfaces. Made through a gentle process that utilizes the resin from scale insects, our shellac gives a unique quality that is prized in fine carpentry. It is easy to use; just mix the shellac flakes with T spirit and apply to wood surfaces to insulate knots and other resinous areas. In addition, Shellac is excellent as a surface finish to create a glossy and protective surface on your wood projects. With 1 hg of shellac flakes dissolved in 2.5 dl of red spirit, you get an optimal consistency for your projects.
