Gränsfors Carpenter's ax is designed with a long, narrow and straight edge that has a straight grind and a tapering neck. This design results in a smooth and fine surface for carving and provides excellent carving ability. The shaft is designed in a straight line to be adapted to different hand grips and working methods. The flat and straight shape of the ax makes it particularly suitable for handling dry wood efficiently.
