White exterior linseed oil paint

Linseed oil paint is a great color for most outdoor surfaces. You can paint on wood, stone, plaster and metal. It is robust, ages beautifully and is easy to maintain.

In order for it to last a long time, it is – as with all painting – it is important that the substrate is clean and dry . Paint preferably in warm and dry weather. The drying time is extended in damp and cold weather, so do not paint at a temperature lower than +10 degrees or if there is a risk of rain or heavy dew. Linseed oil paint should always be applied very thinly. Too thick layers lead to poorer through-drying and wrinkle formation. When repainting you always paint three layers , when repainting one or two. The first two layers are painted with thinned paint to get the best penetration - and thus moisture protection - and adhesion. The top layer is always painted with undiluted paint.
