Graphite is especially suitable for painting iron and metal. The pigment consists of a fatty mineral carbon that is also used as a lubricant and in pencils. Surfaces painted with Graphite linseed oil paint have a beautiful slightly shimmering luster. On bare iron outdoors, you first prime with our iron primer for rust protection.
Example: A painted metal roof is heavily exposed to UV light, ice, and snow, and therefore there is a rapid breakdown of the linseed oil that binds the paint. If the roof is painted with Graphite, the fatty pigment holds the paint surface together in a fantastic way, and the roof remains beautiful year after year.
Of course, you can also paint with Graphite on wood and other substrates.
Keep in mind that Graphite smudges a bit when rubbed, so choose to paint on surfaces where this is not a problem.
