Tar protection for millennia. Traditionally, tar is extracted through dry distillation of resinous pine wood in tar pits or smaller coal kilns. The quality of the tar is determined by color, consistency, and drying ability. Our tar is of the highest quality and comes from Claessons Wood Tar. When tar is applied, it is beneficial to heat it to achieve better penetration and become more fluid. 1 liter of tar is sufficient for about 2-4 square meters for the first coat. For the second coat, if needed, 1 liter is sufficient for about 4-8 square meters. Roslagsmahogny is a mixture of equal parts tar, linseed oil, and balsam turpentine. It is more user-friendly, penetrates better, dries faster, and is easy to pigment, also covering more area than just tar. Läs mindre
