Skin glue
Animal glue, powder form, which provides a very strong, tough and thin joint.
Used for furniture carpentry, inlay work, wooden instruments such as guitars, violins and other forms of gluing that must be able to dissolve. The glue is mixed with water and heated, normally double the weight of water.
The glue is soaked for about an hour before being heated to a maximum of 65°C. A water bath is recommended.
