Raststugor i fantastisk miljö

Cabins in a fantastic environment

From Ovolin, we look out towards the Kilsberg edge where the Närke plain meets the forest and mountains. In recent years, Örebro municipality has carefully renovated several old abandoned farms that have become rest cabins for the public and also built new rest cabins with the possibility of overnight stays.

We are happy to have been involved in delivering both paint, fittings, and furnishings to several of the cabins. Here you can find both color inspiration and fine building care.

Be sure to visit Gårdsjötorp or the popular bird lake Tysslingen just outside Örebro. On the western side of the lake lies the calming Svalnässtugan. The cabin is open to the public and works perfectly as a lunch or coffee spot. The cabin was built in 2010 and painted with gold ochre linseed oil paint along with gray slurry paint, beautifully combined with nature's own colors.

The rest cabin by Gårdsjö is a wonderful stop both in winter and summer. In the summer, there is a dock with a bathing beach right by the cabin. During winter, the ski trail between Ånnaboda and Tomasboda passes by the cabin. Down by the beach, there are both a grill and a windbreak. The facade is painted with light Faluröd slurry paint, window frames and door in 90% gold ochre and 25% green umbra on the trim.
