Hunton Undertak ™ is a simplified under-ceiling that combines under-ceiling and windbreak. The underceiling plates can be used in cold and insulated roof constructions.

Hunton Underfloor – a safe choice

Hunton Subroofs are wooden fiberboards that are quick and easy to lay when you start with a rafter and assemble up against the ridge. Together with the ongoing installation of loops and battens, this provides a safe workplace. Hunton Undertak™ is tested and cleared under the toughest climatic conditions.

Has hygroscopic properties

Wood has hygroscopic properties, which means it absorbs and releases moisture depending on the relative humidity of the air.

Simple assembly

Hunton Under-roof is both under-roof and windbreak in one. This means that you only have ventilation of the roof structure on the upper side of the suspended ceiling. The plate is an 18 mm porous three-fiber plate that is used in insulated pitched wooden roofs. It is particularly suitable for roofs that are fully insulated from the eaves to the ridge, and for roofs that are to be insulated at a later time.

With Hunton Undertak™, you don't have to insert an air gap between the underroof and the wind barrier. The board is delivered with tongue and groove on all four sides and is therefore very easy to lay.

Oblique tapes are redundant

Hunton Underroof provides good wind bracing - so good, in fact, that you don't need additional tie straps. This makes it easier to build since, in comparison, you have to use scotch tape when using canvas products.

For new construction and rehabilitation

Hunton Underfloor is also very suitable for roofs that are being rehabilitated. The plate can be laid directly on the old roofing material (cardboard must be removed). Insulation can then be added to the underside of the old roof truss.

Raw material from environmentally certified forest

Hunton Undertak™ is mainly made from spruce chips PEFC™ certified forestry.

Technical approval

Hunton Undertak™ is a proven quality product. The plates have Technical
Approval from SINTEF. The plates are expected to follow the life cycle of the building
which is defined as 60 years, cf. Technical Approval 2190. Hunton Undertak™ fits
just as well on older houses and during rehabilitation as in new construction
